Following last week's incident in which an islamist ran over some gay parade people, my company's headquarters have finally gone with the times and now sport a rainbow flag. Internal response has been universally positive. Surely nothing bad will happen if I post on the intranet "I'd prefer if we did not let ourselves be instrumentalized for politics.".

Also, one lady posted that she liked it, but would like it even more if we did the same to signal opposition against antisemitism. Which is great. Let's fly rainbow flags and israeli flags, and see how our muslim employees cringe when they need to walk under them.

My one gay colleague has not been expressing extraordinary joy.

“Islam is right about the gays” could be another topical whatcouldgowrong-type intranet post. Or less riskily but still not without risk, bemoaning how the worst part of the van-involved incident is the backlash against peaceful Muslims, so your company should signal opposition against Islamophobia.
