Also, would any drug addict voluntarily undergo treatment that would leave them as addicted as before but without any ability to get a fix? How is it supposed to work to solve the problem?
There is a medication that works this way for alcohol and some alcoholics do willingly take it.
A pill means you only need self control 2 minutes a day rather than 24 hours a day.

I took a moment to look this up. An example of an old-timey rate, In Sweden and Finland in 1800, for example, around 900 mothers died for every 100,000 live births. That's about 1% per birth, so if you had more than 10 pregnancies (which a married young rich woman might as you say) maybe you could get lifetime risks around 10%.
There are still countries in africa where more than 1 in 20 women can expect to die in childbirth.

The governments purposes for tracking sex should not be about the feelings of the individual being tracked, but about keeping accurate records for the census, crime, and other statistics. I'd say that having a listed sex other than your apparent (actual) one is a major problem.

The simple cheating case which sex testing exists to catch (a non-intersex cis man entering a female event) has never happened in the Olympics - and as far as I am aware it hasn't happened in international-level athletics either.
Trans identified males (non-intersex) taking over female sports has been happening at all levels of competition (including international) for several years now.

The fact that he groped his first opponent after the match was terrible too.
Too many people didn't care about "just" the women losing out on scholarships, victories, and fame. Too many people don't seem to care about the injuries suffered by teenaged girls playing soccer, rugby or volleyball with much stronger males. But here we have a dude punching a woman in the face so finally more people are saying "you know what, maybe thats not fair".

What is this kind of thinking called? The gist is "what my opponent should want (which is what I want) according to this value he says he holds rather than what he really wants." I also think of this as the "good republican" as written by aaron sorkin where his republicans that you like are only republican in ways he can agree with or at least understand and the opinions he hates are reserved to bad/stupid characters.
Examples (sorry if these aren't the best, but I think I show the logical twist):
"Democrats should be opposed to abortion because they think everyone has equal value in our society, even the unwanted and unaffordable children of the poor. (Alternately Rawlings Veil)".
"Republicans should support lots of immigration to push down labor costs so they can make more money."
I found myself drifting into this mode of thinking earlier in the gaza war ("Qatar should declare themselves opposed to terrorism and seize the bank accounts of the Hamas leaders because hey free billions and goodwill as the continued reasonable center of the middle east") and I was wondering whether there was a name for it.

I think you mis-estimate the views of the silent majority here. Plenty of people find Trump distasteful but not evil.
Siding with massacring terrorists who started a war is wrong, no matter how many of their own children they throw in front of their armories to get blown up. "Ceasefire Now" is telling Israel to accept getting wiped off the map for the crime of being a successful western country when marxists hate them.

Thanks for explaining the full thought process behind the moderation. I was confused by his comment that his comments were in moderator jail.
There is a hypothesis that vitamin c is only necessary for digesting/using carbs, and that is why inuit/carnivore diets seem to do fine without it.
