Well between the beatings and the lose of one eye, I would think so. But I don't know if the inmate population in the USA is partly blind and regularly gets skull fractures. So YMMV on that front.

I don't understand why some people are so happy she's going to suffer for such a minor crime. Yeah she fucked up, but I don't understand the absolute glee some conservatives feel at her suffering. It's absolutely deranged.
Putting aside that this is more like a weakman, the ones that are happy about it are coming from the side that if you don't care for the Jan6 protestors/rioters, why should they care about your tribe member?. At least that is how I think that minority would see it.

Of course there are differences too, but the similarities are striking to me. At least in the sense the the framing of the incidents is entirely dependant on who has the power and who's sources you read or watch.

So it looks like WNBA’s Brittney Griner’s 9-Year Prison Sentence Upheld In Russian Appeal Court.
One thing I find interesting about the whole ordeal is the similarities between her case and the Jan6 detainees, in both an hostile government dishes disproportionate punishment to a member of an opposing tribe.
While I feel for Ms. Griner I can't help, but chuckle at the parallels and remind myself that in the real world there aren't good guys, just your guys and theirs.

(to /u/4bpp too) Problem being that unlike the lack of relationship between cannibals and capitalists, the trans activists are actively promoting rules, regulations and concepts that would benefit pedophiles in their pursuits (minors capable of consent, keeping secrets from your parents, etc.), which is why I'm interested in the ratio of the problematic populations as Capitalist don't advance the canni agenda but transactivists indirectly (and intentional or unintentionally) do so.
As a note, I don't think it was appropriate that Meiwes was convicted. With the caveat that Bernd Jürgen Armando Brandes was of sound mind during the episode (which I very much doubt) but isn't mentioned in the Wiki article one way or another.
I consider the capacity to enter contracts with another party as a fundamental part of liberty and individualism (social contract as one example), not something exclusive to capitalism.

Don't think of it too literally, it wasn't a group of people in a conference room signing papers; it was done how everything else is agreed upon in society. A new idea came up in the zeitgeist, in this case the progs idea of Gender and Sex being separate and all that and it gained traction until it became mainstream. But because progs are progs they are pushing again to "Alter the Deal" and merge the 2 again but with their bullshit definitions tacked in.
