Thats a roundabout way of saying progressive white women are Karens, but there’s basically two roles progressivism allows for women- bimbos and Karens. For whatever reason progressive women of colour are more likely to pick the former and progressive white women almost always pick the latter. Thé attempts at divorced aunt role progressive women(eg Marianne williamson) have crashed and burned, that’s a conservative woman role now(eg Lauren Boebert).

Rural communities are worried about flock cameras, yes, but they’re also worried about the pace of technological-cultural progress. They can remember when rap music was deeply controversial and bikinis weren’t thé norm(this is, literally, something middle aged people can easily remember, it was that recent). They may not want those trends reversed but they also don’t want them accelerated and they can easily draw the connection between big tech/entertainment(and they don’t see the difference between the two- their exposure to AI is mostly on social media) and cultural change- there’s a reason thé gays in Disney movies are such a visible there, there. The fact that they correctly identify the new computer doohickeys as associated with cultural change and controlled by their enemies is a much bigger factor than specific predictions.

Data centers need to be beautified. Have competent representational artists and classical architects work on the facade, so they don’t look like an ugly blight on downtown. Make them a thing people don’t mind seeing.

Of course, AOC apparently didn’t recognize that the tax incentives weren’t something they’d get to keep if they didn’t approve the deal- they were an offer to just not collect some of the taxes that would be owed, but aren’t due to Amazon not building.

The most recent actual news on data centers is that Greg Abbott’s data center plan is polling at +70.
For those who aren’t familiar, his plan is basically ‘let them build data centers, but publish data on it’. People don’t trust Silicon Valley nerds to be honest, that’s why there’s all this backlash. It’s entirely possible to invert an 80-20 issue by just framing it at ‘someone accountable to the people is checking the deal’.

It's very unlikely, for the simple reason that Asian cities are very OK with ruthlessly minimizing labour costs in a way NYC is notoriously not. Wages in these places are a lot lower for the sorts of people who work selling hot food(and Asian style food is also typically cheaper per serving than American style- rice is a lot cheaper than burgers), and this is accepted because orientals think renting a closet to live in is ok for low skill workers.

How command economies with fixed price levels actually work is shortages- there’s simply none of whatever item is popular and unprofitable available. Grocery net profit isn’t high enough for this to be a short list, either- thé grocery stores will feature lots of empty shelves.

Twilight is probably not, like, good literature. I've never heard it seriously defended as anything more than the appeal to a woman's inner sixteen year old fantasies... but I've also never heard it seriously criticized as anything worse than that, either. It definitely isn't porn- it's about a teenager being special and chosen by a much older man who keeps his hands to himself before marriage and having babies quickly. Not the most likely sequence of events, but fantasia, not pornography.

The Greeks held full manhood to be at the age when a young man could grow a full beard- not any particular age(as the Romans and, later, Christian Europeans did). It’s entirely plausible that Telemachus could be in his early twenties and not able to grow a full beard yet.
The Romans usually drafted young men in their early twenties, rarely late teens, and sometimes late twenties or even thirties, but considered full manhood to be at 30- with 20-something men being under legal disabilities equivalent to teenagers today, not 18-20 year old Americans. I suspect that ancient views on full manhood had more to do with property division and economic role than combat prowess- Odysseus is basically a fantasy hero.

You are indeed correct that white majoritarian politics does not have a future as a strongly pursued ideological policy. There are only a few vaguely right-ish groups who can produce thé sorts of people who design state policy and none of them care whether whites are 60% or 40% of a given country. White majoritarianism does probably have a robust future as a crude populist weapon- even many brown people would rather live in white majority societies. But as the ideological backbone of right wing governments it’s not going to happen.

Texas bussed migrants originally for the simple reason that bus tickets are cheaper than taking care of someone indefinitely. Greg Abbott then noticed it was very good for his political profile and started sending migrants deliberately to higher-profile targets, but 'convincing illegal immigrants stuck in a backwater to get on a bus to go to some second tier city conveniently far away so Texas wouldn't have to feed or house them' was the original plan, which worked because these people would mostly rather be hanging out in a home depot parking lot in Columbus to begin with(and Texas has no shortage of government officials who speak Spanish and can explain the plan). It was after this started getting attention that Abbott gave the order that they be sent to non-Texas sanctuary cities specifically to raise his political profile.

Contraire- this will mildly lower housing costs in New York, resulting in more of the kind of people who want to be in New York living there, thus I will run into fewer of them in DFW.
Progressive white women are trying very hard to enforce a consensus in a very stereotypical and annoying way, however.
