The previous 'dogs trained to rape people' claims were 1) a canard repeated against Pinochet by actual literal communists who made up quite a lot of other things, although they probably were tortured in conventional ways and 2) the confessions of an insane serial killer who also definitely tortured and raped people but also claimed lots of other improbable falsehoods. So my priors from this are 'Israel is torturing prisoners but not with trained rape dogs'.
And indeed, dogs trained to bite the groin are a thing that are widely used.
You don't have to go back to Obama to find democrats making a big show of how Christian they are- Joe Biden's mass attendance was a regular slow news day story.
Well yes, differences in school performance are almost all down to what percentage of the student body's biological parents are still married to each other. This is why both the Army and the RCC run better schools than states. Any state, including Massachusetts and Mississippi. Percentage of kids living with married biological parents edges out average household income as a predictor, edges out race as a predictor, everything else.
You will, of course, find out that everyone gets put into college tracks, because it's easier than listening to parents complain.
Technically, you can get a non-college track high school diploma in the modern US. From a public school, of course- parents that pay for private school expect as a matter of course access to college. Admins don't want to do it, of course, but you can get one.
I mean, the supreme court also fails to stop Colorado from bringing masterpiece cakeshop in every few years. It's not a 'gun control' issue, it's a 'stopping blue states from treading on people is very hard' problem.
This isn't really a thing the supreme court can solve. When states really want to make life harder for people, they succeed. Masterpiece cakeshop just keeps winning court cases, but it's probably cold comfort at this point.
The soviet ability to keep up with the US technologically despite ideological suppression indicates that their education system was good, yes. But modern US leftists are already rejecting everything else about the soviet system(because the system as a whole did not work).
Yeah, but actual communist countries have very little in common with US Marxist’s recommendations. Props to them for figuring out the Soviet system didn’t work, I guess, even if they’re wrong about the whys and wherefores.

fighting tards is a very bad idea, regardless of the rules in place. They’re unpredictable, have hysterical strength, etc.

thats not how it works, your kid goes to suspension for wailing on the LCD kid
The top 20% would be educated regardless- their parents can afford private school.
The system panics when teachers aren't going to get paid, when the free daycare isn't being provided it's a big deal, job cuts are a horrible tragedy, but when the kids don't learn it's a shrug and a demand for more money- interventions to provide school lunches during the summer, even outside of the school setting, are very welcomed by the system. Interventions to educate kids better are not.
The one time I had a plumbing issue I couldn't handle, I asked for recommendations on small businesses at a plumbing supply house. High variance, but I wouldn't use google, it would spit out the same list of home services companies that spend big on advertising.
Try feeding one of my AAQC's in. I have a few obvious tells and a few high variance tendencies.
It's possible that the internet joke is, uh, false.
Having had and trained dogs before, my suspicion is that male dog on human bestiality cases involve adolescent dogs and that adult males require the stimulation of an ovulating female canine- a quick google search shows that introducing one is de rigeur for canine artificial insemination. 'Dogs trained to rape people' is a standard lefty accusation at regimes they don't like(Pinochet, Israel, etc), but as a particular torture method it seems odd that it crops up in every regime the left is mad at and only regimes the left is mad at, rather than also being eg a Cuban thing.
JD Vance would become president.
OK, this bears repeating, even though I thought everyone knew the point of the US public school system is not education. It has many purposes to many different people; social engineering(mainly by shifting the default choice for middle class women away from 'housewife' rather than anything to do with the students, it's not good enough at indoctrination for that- although it has been in the past), free daycare, giving older kids something to do other than being rowdy, etc. Hell some of it is just very expensive signaling. But 'actually educating kids', let alone doing so efficiently, falls very low on the list of priorities, and US school systems which prioritize it over all these other goals(creating employment demand for college educated women, warehousing teenagers where they'll be less annoying, etc) perform much better than public schools.
As much as I despise dickens for what he did to English storytelling conventions, you really should check out the attitude he portrays the British elite holding towards their social lessers.
There will never be a covid postmortem, because a postmortem would end with ‘and the information to know that this is a terrible strategy was available in March, before we embarked on it, thé experts were often lying, thé western vaccines were delayed for no reason, and needless social damage was done despite everyone in a decision making position knowing full well there was no need for that’.
Sûre, there’s a shortage of school workers- but there’s also a general labor shortage, and schools don’t pay exceptionally well(especially in non-teacher roles, school maintenance and driving and nursing roles pay much much less relative to skill set and qualifications than teaching does). That doesn’t distinguish schools from thousands of other things that did reopen on time.
GOP politicians, like politicians in general, have plenty of practice threading the needle with polite non-answers about previous positions. It doesn't matter if they were tied to Trump(just like having denied Biden's senility after he pooped his pants and talked to dead people on live TV is not a liability for democrats in practice). The difference is republicans will select their nominee for being well-spoken and democrats will select their nominee for DEI points.
Wealthy Virginians have 0 sympathy for West Virginian slaughterhouse workers.
Oh absolutely, the GOP could easily lose the presidency, important races, etc though infighting. But it's unlikely to cede a trifecta to democrats; the GOP coalition is not very ideologically coherent, but it's very suited to the political system we exist in.
The ‘future of the GOP’ discussion is mostly dumb, because the GOP is now thé big tent party and the democrats are now thé ideological party, opposite of mid-late 20th century when ‘I am not a member of an organized political party. I am a democrat.’ was a recognized enough statement to be attributed to more than one person. The GOP going forwards probably won’t have an ideology. Oh, there’ll be principles- support for fossil fuels to name one- but nothing like the democrats, or like Reagan of yore.
Now there’s some advantages to that- it means republicans can be competitive more or less everywhere.
The US did a lot better and rolled back restrictions much earlier than comparable countries, and guns are plausibly a big part of it. Like the French burned down cities over the issue and it didn't work. The US pretended militias were kidnapping a governor and we got a lot better.

The Supreme Court did not solve segregation, multiple presidents bringing the full force of the federal government to bear on southern states did. The supreme court merely provided political cover.
