So new project. I'm a big fan of popcorn sci-fi audiobooks. But I frequently have issues with them. Long sections devoted to bad romance subplots. Infantry fights that are more tedious than exciting. Chapter breaks that aren't where they would be convenient.
But m4b files are a series of aac audio frames with additional information about chapters, etc. And we are in the vibecoding era.
So I used Codex to put together a PyQt app to do linear edits to the audio without needing to recompress.
I've been having a lot of fun creating more autistic versions of audiobooks. Either removed or by adding chapter markers placed for easy skipping.
