Perfect suggestion; they are for sure ready for some comics. I'll find some inofensive manga that they can binge if they like, maybe Dragon Ball. Some good clean slapstick and ultraviolence but fun.
Re. Tomes: The older one is about the age where I found a Wheel of Time book in the elementary school library for some god damned reason and was permanently afflicted with a love of 1500 page fantasy doorstoppers, but I don't want to scare them off.

This is pure anecdote; but the main problem I've seen for working class types during my time in Europe was rent and durable goods.
Every other thing is cheaper and of much higher quality than what is available in the US. Eg, a loaf of bread in Parris is .79 cents; the same loaf of bread in the US is either 4.99 or can't be bought at all; eat this dogfood instead.
This seems to be across the board for food, cloths, services, the whole shebang.
On the other hand, Europeans seem to make less money.
On the other other hand, Ya'll work a LOT less, like a lot a lot less.
On the final hand, once you get above US 70k purchasing power equivalence, ya'll seem to pay quite a bit more in taxes.
I'd like to see a breakdown of what the actual differences on the ground are instead of the theoretical economics of it, but I don't trust any of the breakdowns I've seen. Either conservative "European mothers eat every second child to prevent starvation" or librul "Non gmo locally produced by women owned businesses Milk and honey rain from the sky twice a day and three times on weekends."

Wikipidea is undefinitive because it is a democracy; you will never get conservative wins in an open platform because there are less conservatives than liberals.

Re. the apology thing:
I've noticed that an apology is an admission that doesn't guarantee forgiveness; so forgiveness has to be given before the apology or the apology is pointless.
This is similar to how it was in my small jungle town in the middle of nowhere; where you needed an intermediary to be sure the beef was crushed before anyone tried to do any actual working it out so you didn't eg get beat with some horseshoes on the end of a chain.

Nope, short (average) king here. I just got that monke body type; no waist no neck no problem, size 38 waist size 40 shoulders size 34 legs size 42 arms, when I stand next to the gorilla enclosure at the animal park people wonder how I got out and the keepers start rolling up with the dart guns, etc and so forth.
I just put on weight really easy, so the best way for me to stay fit is to keep ahead of it by putting on tons of muscle, which I also do easily. I'm never gonna have a six pack, but I can lift your fridge and run an eight minute mile and do a 10 mile hike (not back to back unfortunately); so whatever.

The most intractable problem, with the fucky-est answers of all.
My own deeply unhelpful yet deeply held belief is that nobody can teach anybody anything; you simply place people in various combinations of prison/laborcamp/cult/skinnerbox and alternately whip them/ give them treats until their brain falls into the correctly shaped hole and they learn something almost by accident.
's why I find the various flavors of Xavier's school for the gifted deeply unconvincing also. You mean to say your product works when every rule is followed by committed users who were probably going to succeed regardless? You don't say.

Pretty much all of them: The service is substantially shittier to use in general; and slightly shittier to use from a technical perspective.
The general shittieness has risen to the point where I actually use it much less.
Bluecheck morons getting top billing instead of whoever has the best one liner has killed my interest in using twitter as twitter; I now only use it to follow specific people for updates on scheduled appearances/articles/ FILTHY FUCKING PORNOGRAPHY.
I'm shocked by what a difference this makes. I went from scrolling for a couple mins. each time i checked my feed for the latest incredibly specific porn / current events in the Palm Oil Killings / when is video game coming out to basically never actually going deeper than the very top level of the thread.
He has turned it into a more expensive rss feed for me.

The actual young family members I've seen recently all go to CA public schools as we (the extended family diaspora) all firmly believe that private schools are for richie riches or assholes. They are all doing something like whole language learning, and all are way more advanced in all subjects than any of the charter school kids I know (sample size: like 5. Basically worthless).
That said, they share some of my crazed book addict genes so maybe it's a worthless comparison.
That said that said: maybe I'm seeing these shitty results because this is the puritanical version of phonics where you aren't allowed to even look at a complete phrase incase it makes you go into hysterics, where as the public schools in my area are just doing common sense readings of"The Kuh AH TUH in the HUH AH TUH", you know what I mean?

This assumes a level of robustness to the power grid that is not present, and will never be present under market conditions.
I mean, one kinda bad but not unknown or unknowable snow storm knocked out the grid for one of the richest areas in the richest country in the world.
Re. cheap energy: again, yes but. The only source of energy I know of that is dropping price is renewables, which I would not stake my life or even my extreme discomfort on.
Again, this could be solved easily with sufficient investment. I just don't believe that investment will ever come from any market driven source.

AI is a while from generating novel texts and scripts and such (don't ask me how long though); but it is about 15 minutes from getting fed a couple hundred hours of footage and being able convincingly replicate a specific human saying whatever the fuck you want them to say.
