It’s a lot more than that. Obamacare requires Prep. Which I believe is $20k per year. I believe 4% of men are gay so if they all took it that alone adds like $1k/year to what insurance needs to charge to break even. And lots of other required coverages

That’s why I wasn’t sure if the posts was satire. I don’t have insurance as a single male. I groked what it would costs a month for a single 35 year old male and it’s 600 a month. Makes no sense to carry insurance in US unless employee sponsored. Better to just pay cash.

I think a lot more countries could field a team in basketball. The gap in basketball between US and #2 in baseball was huge. The gap between US in baseball to the 2,3,4 teams today are likely smaller.

I think modern media has exposed that you can have multiple narratives on the news and the prior big 3 period was just the ability to maintain 1 narrative. Americans were all “ the channel for left-handed contact lens wearing model train enthusiasts in the south-west", but because the media was an oligopoly you could create Americans who were all the same thing.

We have atleast 2 starters who are just cup of coffee Americans. Looks like 2 more who were military base Americans to foreign wives but never really lived in States, which is probably fine but still stretchy.
For the World Cup for a country like the US I would probably kick the cup of coffee Americans off the team (Balogun and Robinson) but keep the Air Force military brats.
The World Baseball Classic I am fine with the extreme stretchiness because it’s only going to be an exhibition since baseball doesn’t lend itself to national competitions (load management on Pitchers) and the limited geography of the game. You would only have 4-5 competitive teams (USA, Dominican, Venezuela, Japan). Throwing together a mostly second tier US team of guys with Italian surnames for Italy expands the tournament.
Overall international play seems to have at a minimum 1 degree of stretchiness too much for me.

It’s not even the meme with some of these football players. The “American” who got red carded Balogon was only born here. And left at 2 months. In no meaningful sense is he American. He’s basically just a mercenary. So even if there wasn’t the issue of raping my sister for a futball player - it’s basically fraud with him playing for America. He must be the second best at his position in England.

Pre-diversity or in the US The Great Migration when was urbanism an issue? The Southside of Chicago was thriving before blacks moved in. And now it’s a ghetto.
You can literally buy a 4k sq ft mansion there a few blocks from University of Chicago but it’s dirt cheap because blacks live there.

Well I mean yes. Every race evolved to optimize for the living conditions they grew up in. I am not saying any race is better than others. It’s just each race prefers living with their own race.
Asians do not let non-Asians immigrate to their countries. Africans well are on video saying kill the boer and want to expel whites from S Africa. It’s a fairly universal belief to want to segregate.
And hey look we still see distinct voting patterns by ethnicities decades and centuries after they came here.

I know those studies exists. They all have flaws and the top one is grouping blacks with natives. We don’t want more black level crime. Classification on status is also a big issue.
The Swedish studies show a very agreeable issue - you need to heavily filter immigration at a bare minimum. If crime is the only standard then you need to be very racists in selecting who immigrates.
Sure Harvard is being racists. Is racism wrong?
Once you accept human biodiversity and differences in athletics and intelligence then there are almost certainly personality difference. US natives find Asians boring. Asians probably find us natives loud and obnoxious.
Since I’ve worked in trading. Citadel loves hiring Asian math Olympiad winners. They probably do make better market making algorithms and GDP goes up. But for a work environment I would much prefer being around a bunch of old floor traders. To me they are just cooler guys to hang out with.

Hong Kong has like 100 km^2 of land according to your own article that isn’t turned into condo towers. Yes cities still like to have some parks. Plus the article explains there are property right issues.

I will agree urbanism has multi-factor analysis. People don’t want to live in Coruscant style cities. But diversity seems to be a very good predictor of a countries urbanism.

My initial comment was that diversity and immigration are bad. Yes people in America vote against dense construction. People do NOT like living in diverse dense neighborhoods. They don’t like living next to black people.
Yet homogenous societies live in dense neighborhoods. Buenos Aires where they literally genocide blacks and Indians is dense and walkable. European cities are dense and walkable. Chinese cities are dense and walkable. Tokyo is dense and walkable.
So yes you prove my point. People do not like living in diverse societies. When people are in homogenous societies they suddenly choose to live close to each other.

Drinking bleach leftist rant actually costs lives. Trump did butcher the science but what he was actually referring to were things like disinfecting nasal sprays which were very effective on Covid since Covid starts in your nasal system. Blasting yourself with non-toxic disinfectants gave your body significantly more time to build up antibodies to Covid where it causes real problems.

You have zero good sources for immigrants commit less crime. Because the US does not have good data. I believe it’s Sweden that has good data on immigrants. And they commit a lot more crime.
Harvard discriminated against Asians in admissions for a reason. I don’t make the rules but even the elites decided Asians kill the vibes of a place.

A big problem with USAID is it funds population groups that are not capable of sustaining advanced civilization on their own while having high reproductive rates. If you fund sub-Saharan Africa with USAID you get more Sub-Saharan Africans. Which means in 30x you need to send even more money to prevent deaths. They are humans that can sustain on their own hunger and gatherer communities at low population density.
By actually funding USAID you increase population density and in the future more Africans die because you saved lives today. No matter what you do people die.

America is insanely wealthy. What you don’t realize is there are more than 1.58 million Americans with net worth >$10m. Think I saw a Twitter graphic that it was 2.5 m people. So finding 500 Obamas isn’t that hard.
Of course America is insanely rich because America’s federal government is insanely rich and USAID was a trivial amount of the budget. Since citizens fund the government USAID would likewise be a trivial amount of individuals.
I did not self-deport. Overstating as I’m still in US half the time. As some of us have come to believe my self deportation is to one of two of the US allies. It’s aligned with building America.
America being a creedal nation is false. It’s only creedal in how it’s a new Europe but the America story has always been fundamentally a European tribe. 80% maybe even more of humans could never be America. They can’t build or maintain institutions.
