This is certainly somewhat unprecendented (hence why it's sticking around), but there's no reason to assume malfeasance here, a rogue PR agent. It's been out long enough that someone would have corrected the record by now. Usually the Church responds to things through its newsroom portal, in this case they just responded to a request for comment. Not sure why, but also not sure why it matters.
we don't know specifically why the Church viewed his actions as morally unacceptable, but it is true that he has repeatedly invoked Elder Ballards name and the Church is trying very hard to tamp down on various forms of affinity fraud that sadly take in many of our more guileless members. If the sexual allegations are true it's even worse - but for now it's all based on anonymous accounts so idk. But at minimum, using an apostles name to make money is, to me, bad enough.

I am Canadian. I'm neutral to mildly positive on an American take-over, only because our gdp per capita and median wages are abysmally low compared to the USA. Healthcare is...eh, I've tried to crunch the numbers on cost vs time, and end of the day I still think ours is slightly better for my situation. Took me 3 months to get a hernia surgery, and a relative in the states 3 days - but it was $3k for them. Mine was "free". But man, i am an outlier, people here hate america now, moreso than ever before

How are we supposed to know if he's genuinely using the pronouns or not? Unless he admits to trolling, the rules are we have to take him at his word.
Being somewhat facetious here, but I don't think many of the rightists blowing up the non-binary thing suddenly think that this stuff is legit. Myself I think it's possible, but makes sense that it could be an easy way to avoid a hate crime charge (how could I hate them, I am them!), or could also just be true. But it is very...i don't know the adjective, something, that the rules established by the progressive class are now suffocating them. They cannot say that he's faking it without destroying a central tenet of many of these people which is that Self Id Is God.
I'm not saying all progressives believe this, Jesse Singal for one was very good at pointing out the insanity with Jessica Yaniv, but enough do that many of us watched the coverage of this thing evaporate instantly among some previously engaged people.

It's 54 minutes long, but I'm not a football guy and really enjoyed it. Assuming the premises and conclusions are mostly reasonable as the channel seems popular among at least some football fans.

I'm not much of a music head, but I do watch and review a lot of movies and was struck at how neatly your 5 star rubric matches to mine for movies, like almost to a T. Even the 4.5/5 star distinction where a 4.5 star is basically perfect, but to get that last little mmph it needs to move me in some way, or change me. Transcendent, yes!
Do you have some examples of 0 stars? I would enjoy seeing those

I have 0 philosophy background and have really struggled with Beyond Good and Evil. I think i must be missing some key context. Claude has helped a bit but i also have a difficult time trusting that it's giving me the right summaries.
Mind and Cosmos was another one that I just could not grok. I'll have to keep pressing on. But sometimes it feels like I'm reading a book on algebra when i never learned what addition and subtraction were or something

This is helpful thanks. It sounds like you liked the same things I like about my current job. I think my plan is to take the job if it's offered, keep living at an income level based on my current income, and if it doesn't work out - I won't burn any bridges and I see a number of people that come back to my company after a few years, so my thought is they keep the door pretty open. At least I could pay off my student loans and put a decent dent in my mortgage before my rate goes up in 2 years
My guess is that he was not wearing garments for his sex trafficker undercover work...though that would certainly be a Choice
