U.S. Election (Day?) 2024 Megathread

With apologies to our many friends and posters outside the United States... it's time for another one of these! Culture war thread rules apply, and you are permitted to openly advocate for or against an issue or candidate on the ballot (if you clearly identify which ballot, and can do so without knocking down any strawmen along the way). "Small-scale" questions and answers are also permitted if you refrain from shitposting or being otherwise insulting to others here. Please keep the spirit of the law--this is a discussion forum!--carefully in mind.

If you're a U.S. citizen with voting rights, your polling place can reportedly be located here.

If you're still researching issues, Ballotpedia is usually reasonably helpful.

Any other reasonably neutral election resources you'd like me to add to this notification, I'm happy to add.

People keep talking to me about "civil war" and "post-election violence" and so on. Are any of you preparing for that in any particular way?

I can't really envision anybody messing with things in my inner-ring suburb, or my dumpy little house in particular, but who knows, I guess. I could sit on my porch with my shotgun but I'd just feel like a tool.

The far left has been strongly focusses on Gaza for the past year. It's not clear they have enough gas in the tank to gather mobs in the case of a Trump victory.

Focused on Gaza, and specifically blaming Harris for enabling Gaza. "If we push hard enough against her we'll get her to cut off support for Israel" was a gambit, and it failed, and now it'll be hard to admit it was just a gambit if she loses, even if her opponent was literally the guy who had the US recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

"Left-wing antifa riots in response to Harris win" was not on my bingo card...
