Do you have a dumb question that you're kind of embarrassed to ask in the main thread? Is there something you're just not sure about?

Anyone else forget to set the clock back last night? I guess I woke up at 5 today on accident.
I guess the question is who here doesn’t use his phone as his alarm, and lives in a jurisdiction that dealt with this last night, and forgot to make the change manually on his clock? Probably just me then.
We don't have DST and I'm fine with it. Waking up when it's completely dark outside is not ideal, but I like watching the light outside gradually change from day to day with no jumps.
Now I just have to survive the four darkest months of the year. Why can't we all have a second home in the other hemisphere?

You know, I haven't really entertained this idea. But I guess it could work. My current employer won't allow me to work from abroad, but I wonder if I can get the same total compensation working remotely for a Murican company.

I had no idea it was changing. I got up somewhere between 1 and 2, hopped on my computer at what I thought was 2:00AM, then the next I checked the time, it was nearly 2:00AM again. No notifications or anything; it was all done so quietly, I had to check the default calendar to confirm it was for DST.
Had I slept through the first 1:00AM entirely, I'd probably have completely failed to notice anything until someone said something.

Riding my train in the 5:30 am pitch black, no DST here.

Thanks for reminding me to check my clocks.
Good news: Neither Google nor Microsoft overrode my timezone preferences (this time), so I don't have to adjust my "automatic" clocks to the correct time.

I haven't used an alarm clock since I got a cellphone eleven years ago.
I have literally never used a discrete alarm clock in my life.
I foresee an age where they become popular again, especially the clangy ones with the two bells sticking out either side. Like vinyl, the retro crowd will embrace alarm clocks.
I have a clock radio I wake up to every day the advantages are twofold—first, you wake up to the radio so it's something different every morning and not a sound that you hate and that causes you to jump every time you hear it. Second, there's something more satisfying about pounding a snooze button than hitting one on your phone. That being said, I usually wake up before the alarm anyway.
