What is 8 pounds of extra weight on your chest compared to a rifle backup that is quickly and easily presentable?
Weight is everything. A true cost benefit analysis rejects excess weight with extreme prejudice. Here's where I'll assert that weight is a consideration so powerful that "I'll carry a second long arm" is ridiculous. "Quickly and easily" is reserved for swapping mags, not silly video game switching from one rifle to the next.

These children of immigrants probably lack foreign citizenship. They could perhaps pursue and get it. But they aren't automatically given multiple citizenships just by being born to immigrant parents.
These are Swedes and stripping them of citizenship probably makes them stateless.

I'm aging. In order to prevent weight gain I have given up on breakfast and eat a light lunch. I know a much older and equally lean man who follows similar routine. It obviously and unambiguously works.
Eat less to lose weight, eat more to put on weight. I purposefully ate more while I lifted. I now have a kid and a busy life and cut back on eating.
How long can society be obviously right but people pretend otherwise in order to excuse personal failings leading to the unavoidable consequences?

I thought the Russian economy lacked the ability to replace expended or destroyed high tech equipment. Or recently destroyed oil infrastructure for that matter. They could be throwing large amounts of effectively unreplacabe materiel at Ukraine. And then none will be left for other uses. Bleeding them.
I have little doubt in their ability to field many men for a long time and gradually grind at the Ukrainians. I don't take more men under arms as a sign of economic strength for them. But it doesn't matter since our ""allies"" in Europe will fund them more and more through oil purchases so their GDP will grow merely by being a petrostate.
Ukrainians have agency and I am not at all sympathetic to arguments we are egging them on when we give them the arms they ask for. Or that hastening their brutalization by Russia is somehow a moral good.

Assuming this is a racial issue: Shouldn't a true to the setting depiction of 40K be full of POCs? If anything it's weird that all of mankind 10s of thousands of years in the future produces mostly white guardsmen and space marines, given their depiction in various media.

I take it this is a deeply misleading graph that fails to account for the Flynn effect/IQ being renormalized over the decades. A 100IQ in the 1930s is equivalent to around an 80IQ circa 2000.
"The numbers used to be bigger" is less impressive when you know that the scale changed.

Tarrant wasn't engaging in optimal behavior. He was putting on as sensational a show as possible.
I don't dispute that it is physically possible to empty a shotgun into a group of innocent people and then switch to a rifle. I dispute the relative operational efficacy of such a plan.
Tarrant did just that. That's not at all evidence that switching long arms rather than reloading is a good plan. That's not a data point that contradicts me.
I wish you could spend a day shooting with me. Your misunderstanding would wash away.

Saying reloading is massively faster than throwing away a gun and presenting one that is strapped to your chest just isn't true.
I don't know what to say anymore. It just is true. I know I'm merely asserting, but I'm right, Tarrant be damned. That one bad data point of a guy purposefully making as much of a spectacle as possible doesn't change reality.
I wish we were on BLM land with a few rifles right now. We could compare the amount of fumbling and bumbling involved with throwing down a rifle and switching to another one vs swapping mags. You'd rock solid see I'm right.

a classical concert or a ballet or an opera
A miniscule sliver of society enjoys these things. I recall reading that even that sliver is loosing interest and these venues are dying.
Let's not pick political allegiance over this fringe of a past time. In fact, maybe purely entertainment activities such as movies and opera should be viewed as frivolous distractions. Good fun if you like it. But fundamentally unimportant.
And if this isn't true then we should seriously consider making pedophilic urges result in irreversible life imprisonment (but I bet a popular alternative would be execution).
