This is the Quality Contributions Roundup. It showcases interesting and well-written comments and posts from the period covered. If you want to get an idea of what this community is about or how we want you to participate, look no further (except the rules maybe--those might be important too).
As a reminder, you can nominate Quality Contributions by hitting the report button and selecting the "Actually A Quality Contribution!" option. Additionally, links to all of the roundups can be found in the wiki of /r/theThread which can be found here. For a list of other great community content, see here.
These are mostly chronologically ordered, but I have in some cases tried to cluster comments by topic so if there is something you are looking for (or trying to avoid), this might be helpful.

Notes -
I'm kind of sad that I missed all the Malfoid discussion. Glad to find it here though.
It was good fun, but to be honest my main takeaway from it is that I hate culture warriors.
Malfoid is a cute premise and led to lots of adorable creativity, and within approximately five seconds discussion around it was hijacked by 1) right-wing morons who think that it's somehow evidence that the masses yearn for their retarded combination of racism and ethno-nationalism, and 2) left-wing morons who think that the whole thing is evidence of incel misogyny and radicalisation.
It really makes me want to strangle both camps.
Can you not just... let nice things be nice?
Let people have good things. For once. You parasitic idiots.
Unfortunately, letting people have good things in real life will require some attitude other than this. It turns out that, if you want Malfoid to be real, something has to change; being apolitical will not get you there. As for what, I will agree that neither the mainstream right or left know.
What does it even mean for Malfoid to be 'real'?
Presumably it would be the same thing it would be for classic-flavour Drarry to be real, or Dramione, or for Bowsette to be real, or for any of its obvious precursors, but... what would that be? Malfoid is a topic for fan fiction and fan art. In what way could it be real that it's not already?
You'd have better luck making anime real.
3d foid who looks like that and acts like that in your kitchen, that's what it means.
