After observing for years, its my conclusion that literally everything she does, from the weird polls to the bemoaning her inability to find a husband (who would tolerate her onlyfans), to the gangbangs is just her way of selling her services, targeting a very particular niche: grown up tech nerds who find themselves suddenly very wealthy.
If you engage with her in ANY way, you are entering her sales funnel.
This wouldn't be so bad except she likewise bends all attention around any issue or event to be about her. Even this action has made it so people aren't discussing whether her critics are right, now its all about her disappearance from the public eye.
My prediction is she makes a very ostentatious return to social media inside a month, probably setting up some big event she will promote, and then continues on as usual.

But I don't see it. I just don't. What I see is ever-growing burdens placed on those who create value, to the benefit of an ever-growing proportion of those who do not. I'd call it injustice if that made sense to anyone nowadays, when "justice" means that those who don't work are sustained by those who do, forever, no strings attached. Until society as a whole produces nothing but parasites and their sustenance - and then either collapses or finally puts a stop to these dynamics, much later and more grievously than had it been done earlier.

The idea that there should be some sort of social insurance for construction workers who lose their legs doesn't seem too unreasonable, even if I might oppose it. When that extends to disability payments for the congenitally lazy or "who made poor life choices to some degree"... well, shit. I don't want to work either, and I didn't get the benefit of those poor life choices the other people made, so why the hell should I be paying for them? Thing is, there seems to be a slippery slope from the reasonable to the unreasonable, and no one with any power is interested in building a fence across it.

Most popular youtubers are in some ways retarded hipsters -- it's not the end of the world. They also have a tendency to leverage their popularity (and their slack-jawed faux-excitement about formerly basic knowledge like carburetors and potato guns) into the marketing of crappy products -- it's nice that this guy is (trying to) make his crappy products in America, but that doesn't make his hour-long ad interesting. (and means you should take what he says with a grain of salt -- he is literally selling you something.

I see no problem with doing it with each of these groups (prostitutes, openly slutty people, celebrities, twitteroids, stark-raving-mad twitter haters). Though probably better to avoid doing anything more than minimal amount of it. And even that may be spend more productive on other things. But promoting or celebrating either is definitely terrible.

Yes. You cannot legislate everything. If you need detailed law and call police because someone took all the cookies at family event then things went really wrong. The same for someone proud about being a prostitute and promoting it. Or spending time mostly on performative prostitute hating. Or doing business on either.

Remember we're talking about a multi-millionaire who runs in extremely wealthy tech circles, and has hundreds of people who would run to her defense and aid at a moment's notice.
Unnecessary cruelty for cruelty's sake is bad, but my sympathy is limited in the same way it is for any wealthy celebrity who seeks the limelight.

If you legalize punching the air around people's heads, I very much think that leafs to much more harm, due to inaccuracy and the tendency for that to start real fights. I don't have a source for this, but I think anyone reasonable would agree.
Legalizing the Idaho stop would not - as the studies done in places like Idaho and Delaware show.

Meh, I've seen support and defense of her, probably here. She's just being a drama queen. (Worst I've called her is a dirty whore, and someone who brags about not showering, sells sex for money, and associates with the sort of people who like wordplay is kinda asking for that)

I do agree, bikes, due to their flexibility and relative lack of danger posed to others, do dumb shit. Like I said, I am in favor of much more enforcement.

Look, I don't hate her or think she should be insulted, abused, dragged, etc. I dislike dogpiles and sadism and gleeful cruelty.
That said, her entire schtick is stirring up controversy, posting provocative things as "thought experiments," and bragging about her gangbangs. That she suddenly discovered that people say mean things about her on the Internet and it hurts her feelings that more people aren't defending her is really hard for me to find credible. She's either having some kind of mental breakdown or this is as performative as most of the things she does.

The reality of the situation is that operators of two wheeled vehicles demand the rights and privileges of both cars and pedestrians while refusing to exhibit the responsibilities of either.
While aggressive drivers do exist they are significant more predictable and are much less common than insane bicyclists. Anyone who has walked through a busy city or college town and is willing to notice things can see this. The exception is probably highway speeding which is a more complicated dance but is considered socially acceptable by most. Bicycle behavior is not.
Furthermore, poor behaving automobile drivers will eventually get tickets, fines, have their license taken away and maybe even get prosecuted. This rarely happens to bicycles and is not a big problem that one of the world's great progressive powerhouses is thinking of doing something about! Which is nuts and should exhibit how extensive the problem is.

Walking to my office is a 1hr 25 min walk, or 28 minute bike. I would vastly prefer to not wake up a full hour earlier, and no amount of extra "thinking" time will make up for that...
Syncs with other forms of transport well, no restrictions on taking a non-existent bike with you.
Solved by bike rental/bike share programs in most major cities.
Can easily head into a shop without having to tie up a bike.
This is significantly easier and faster (or equivalent, if there is ample parking) than parking a car. This takes 30 seconds? How is this a barrier?

If you've been on twitter in or around the tpot space the last few days, you may have seen Aella blowing up and deciding to go private. I won't recount the whole story, but it is in screenshots in the link earlier.
Suffice to say, apparently she searched her name and saw a ton of vitriolic attacks and discussions around her online presence. She claims that the worst part is the "overwhelming hate with nobody defending me. People are ashamed publicly to support me, they don't want to be called a simp or cringe."
Long story short she basically said that she is heartbroken, is "so sad the world is shaped this way," and decided to quit twitter and go locked for the foreseeable future.
For some quick background, aella is a prostitute. She is extremely successful, and has built up a huge presence on twitter as well as a cult following in rational spheres. She does data science work as well, and claims to be autistic. She is polyamorous and openly promotes and campaigns for that lifestyle, as well as doing drugs. Some of her stunts include things like tattooing her name on the body of men who have sex with her, having orgies while sharing details of who got to get in, etc.
A few darker claims are that she pushed her two younger sisters into sex work (one of them, by her own admission on twitter, was doing camgirl jobs before she turned 18.) She has also said some... problematic things that are edging around support for pedophilia, although she's canny enough not to come right out and say it.
Now as I'm sure many people here agree with, I don't exactly agree with aella's views or lifestyle. That being said I am still torn, the world is a cruel place. At the same time, aella has probably caused harm to a lot of others with her lifestyle and especially her approach to promoting it online.
This equivocation points to an actual underlying tension/confusion I have around liberal expression. On the one hang I think polyamory, sex work, and some of the.... encouragement aella has around minors watching point &c is quite bad, and should not be allowed to happen in the public square. I think a certain amount of shaming is absolutely good and necessary.
However, perhaps I'm frail hearted or something because it does hurt to see so many attack her so viciously, when they clearly have so much hate in their hearts. Perhaps it's Pollyannaish but I wish that we could do our shaming in a more dignified, and less clearly antagonistic way. It seems that most of the people shaming her, from my read at least, clearly enjoy looking down and judging someone harshly, seeing themselves as better than her. From my perspective, that's not just as bad as what she's doing, but still bad.
I'm wondering, I suppose, whether there's a way we can employ shame in a truly good way as a society? Can we somehow shame people without turning into monsters ourselves, in order to protect our children and especially young girls from (imo) degenerate and overall unhealthy lifestyles?

Today there are people who ride bikes as back then but the public discussion is dominated by a new group who are Cyclists. Ie. people who make cycling a replacement for a car and a core part of their identity.

In my major North American city, basically every pro cycling person I see and hear has opinions like "my building has 0.3 parking spots per person, and I want to get to work faster than walking/transit" or "I like biking to my soccer league but the current layout of roads makes me fear for my life"
The vast majority of cyclists I see passing by my apartment window are on city rental bikes, which are 30 minute time limit (you only use for A>B, not recreation) and are super heavy so you can't go fast.

I think I agree Theres a bit of a moral hazard in too much welfare, especially uncoupled from the need to push people to do what they can, and to avoid bad behavior. If someone is generally capable of working, I don’t think they should starve. That’s insane. But if the person is clearly making bad, antisocial decisions, cutting off the gibs would force them to behave. Or for that matter force them to make their kids behave, attend school and do their homework. They should contribute as they are able, and they should be making sure their kids get a decent education. And staying out of crime, drugs, and so on. If you’re doing those kinds of things, im perfectly willing to pay to keep them from starving. If they’re sitting home on gibs, doing drugs, not making sure their kids are getting educated and not getting into trouble, they don’t get the gibs. It should be a hand up to hopefully being self sufficient, not a hand out to keep them comfortable doing nothing.
In most cases I definitely would not have enjoyed them as much, no. Even I would say it would likely have taken away from the product - I do agree with you that AI art for the most part isn't inspiring to me, and there's a lot of noticeable artifacting in AI generations. Used as is, it's very immersion-breaking.
However, I'm not so sure it's likely to stay that way, and even in its current incarnation I can see very many use-cases for it. As an example there are many highly pixelated/low fidelity/dithered indie games which rely on the style precisely because of its simplicity, and it's not that difficult to selectively crop and edit AI image outputs in such a way where it's not recognisable as AI. You're still going to need to do a lot of work to make it look good and fit within the game's intended aesthetic, for sure, but it cuts down on time significantly when you're comparing against doing it by hand. Producing novel textures for 3d models are yet another possible situation where it could be quite helpful, I imagine. Its output usually isn't good enough to just use verbatim, but it can help speed up the process of game development and that's where I think its true utility lies at the moment.
