I see this kind of disclaimer for HBD-based arguments all the time (e.g. "there are no inferior or superior races, but...") even though the conclusion they dismiss is usually an obvious extrapolation from the forwarded premises. You might justify the "unequal but equal" mindset by pointing to the special role of women in childbearing, but nevertheless men are still universally regarded as the primary sex, with woman defined in relation to him; Eve was made of Adam, after all. I hate that it's the case and wish it weren't so, but women are definitely seen as intrinsically lesser (in the "great chain of being" sense) compared to men.
With that said, what's your justification for the equal worth/dignity of the sexes despite their unequal ability?

I would never want that, people crossing over is ok in limited amounts, if everyone who did dutch kickboxing came over then dutch kickboxing would die out. Though MMA can be far bigger if the ali act was enforced here.
The best part of its model is that it leeches off other, more entrenched sports' scouting and training practices. What it should do is try to attract more athletes who want to cross over (like UFC fighters do with boxing) but the UFC is now in the WWE position and has no reason to innovate.
It did this for a while but the scouting thing is not the same. MMA does not have scouts, people just count on fighters sending their records and videos over to gyms and promotions. Actual scouting and ali act would fix the sport totally if you can remove weight cutting.
The UFC is like the WWE and both lose relevance daily despite better fighters in the UFCs case, all because of greedy businessmen who deserve decades behind bars for the damage they willingly caused. The UFC has class action lawsuits and I want it to lose all of them. They are both anti innovation because they dont want outliers. Their goal is to swindle networks into getting a deal.

In the area I grew up in the Catholic schools at still at 8k per head, and this is a state with heavy regulation of even those. If you had a good regulatory environment I suspect you could get very competent schooling at around the 2-3k per head number.

"Education" can't be disrupted by modern tech because learning is only kind of adjacent to it. The thing called education is mostly signaling + childcare. The ACX OP even basically admits he is paying for segregation.
My wife is a psychiatrist at a public hospital that deals with some of Chicago's sickest and poorest mental cases. I get a pretty good cross section of the stories. It's just not really the case that the kind of politics she's dealing with from her patients are mondain red vs blue tribe stuff. The craziest red tribe anti-vax position you can imagine would not phase her and would sound strange in its groundedness compared to the actual involuntary cases she deals with, which are almost always about refusal to take medication that stops them from like painting the walls with their feces. Psychiatrists are certainly like 400% more lgbt than the general population but they just aren't taking the politics of their patients seriously enough for discrimination to really be a thing, they're fighting tooth and nail just to get the feces smeerers to take their meds.

If you read The Idea Factory with a somewhat critical eye you can easily see why Bell labs isn't happening now, and can't happen in the near future. Sure, some of their best guys went to MIT, but that was when you got into MIT by like taking a train there then passing an entrance exam. None of this extra-curricular and AP maxxing nonsense. But many of the main figures also just were like paperboys who were the small town genius and went to a random engineering school nearby. At some point, however, determining actual merit, talent, and skill became unfashionable for academics and hiring managers so they outsourced to boring metrics and racial adjustments.

But PP's own behavior in which clinics it has closed over time indicates that they don't particularly care about providing those services, or that the clinics cannot justify their own existence without providing the profitable abortions for which those services are merely a smokescreen.

Money is fungible. Things like rent, electricity, staffing, etc are all shared. They cannot be separated. You can't provide money to PP without funding abortion. If you wanted to, you could spin off the abortion wing, call it Banned Parenthood, make sure there is no staffing overlap, and charge them market rates for rent and facilities, maybe you'd have a decent argument.

There are a lot of reasons families struggled with this model. Reasons the school never addressed, likely because they were too busy with their marketing machine. After reading this article, it’s hard not to conclude that income and background played a major role in how families experienced ALPHA. They’re used to serving families who can relocate across the country and afford $40,000 per child to “try out” a revolutionary school. But that’s not who we are. We’re families living paycheck to paycheck, with different life experiences and different starting points. That doesn’t mean our kids weren’t capable of success, far from it! It just means they had to work twice as hard to adapt to ALPHA’s rigid model.
This article brings up a lot of valid concerns, but I saw firsthand how much more deeply these issues impacted kids from our background, especially around the concept of "motivation." and their buggy tech.
N=3 and all, but that isn't promising for their method scaling any time soon.

For most people with depression, I'd go as far as to say it's highly inadvisable:

This isn't entirely causal, as there's some evidence that people with a predisposition towards depression are more likely to try weed in the first place. Yet I think the evidence is there, and in particular, there's little evidence of it helping reduce depression.

What I've heard on the grape-vine is that there are quite a few trials ongoing. I googled it, and they've got some big names involved.
A number of trials have concluded, with, as far as I can tell by eye-balling them quickly promising results.
Unfortunately, adoption just takes time. Not all psychiatrists are as open to the idea of psychedelics as I am. While not a psychedelic, ketamine was only relatively recently approved in the UK for depression, and it's a pain to acquire in the NHS.
Not to mention the lack of a profit motive. Most of them are unpatentable, hence pharma companies aren't really raring to go to produce them.
And I've met plenty of schizophrenics who were triggered by pot. It's not a gamble I'd suggest others take
I've looked at the figures, and that's very rare! Remember, you're looking at schizophrenics who you have reason to believe were triggered by pot. What we ought to be considering are people without known schizophrenia, what are the risks they develop it after trying pot?
That figure is very low. Probably in the sub 0.1% or lower range.
Even within schizophrenics, a study in Denmark found that only ~ 6-8% of schizophrenia cases were induced by weed.
There's also a strong dose dependence here, I would expect that even vulnerable people wouldn't be too affected by a small amount of weed. Unfortunately, potencies have only increased over time.
I wouldn't lose any sleep over it, but I'm not a big fan of weed because it can be habit forming, blunts cognition and just makes you lazy-ass drug if you take it regularly.

Forget the Duolingo. It looks like most of the "teaching" this school does is plopping the kids in front of computer education modules that give them feedback on the problems. One wonders why they need "guides" who make 100k a year to not teach them. Presumably the effect of a good teacher is proportional to the amount of teaching they actually do.
Only if the schools were subsidized by the parish. If a school had to stand on its own two feet, $3,000 per head wouldn’t be sufficient to cover the costs of teachers’ salaries, staff salaries (janitor, cook, librarian, secretary, etc.), benefits, utilities, maintenance, insurance, books, supplies, equipment, furniture, and so on. You could probably get by with $3,000 a head if you were running some sort of homeschool co-op with no facility costs.
