In an actual scenario where they start a civil war and win, why would the Reds not rule with a jackboot? Even if they assure you, as a member of the Blue team, that they will not, as they try to persuade you to put down that big red button, why would you believe them?
I wouldn't trust any belligerent in the culture war to be magnanimous in victory on the best day, and here we are in a subthread where we're actually talking about the blog by some redtriber who is very openly fantasising about jackboots and lots of other redtribers are assuring us that he is very important and influential.

Anyways I think the problem here is just numbers. I can see how a certain status quo would convince progressive Jews they'd never be turned on. But when you have as many or more Muslims in the mix, who can claim victimhood without the massive issues raised by Israel, they'll always be more appealing for the woke. Especially since 9/11 made them even more suspect in the eyes of their red tribe enemy.

Let me try to dig out the core:

Virtually nobody is advocating for the cleansing of all the people who are not left. Not the GOP, not the Dems, not the woke mob. Even if you say that everyone except literal Nazis is sufficiently left, the position "let us just kill all the Nazis outright" is very fringe. Getting Nazis fired, cast out from society, forcibly re-educated, perhaps put into labor camps for life might all be popular fantasies on the fringe left, but simply gassing them and be done with it is unlikely to be the consensus even in Antifa.

More broadly, I think that fringe opinions should not influence our broad categorization of the political spectrum. I can probably find a crazy person who is arguing that we should take "eat the rich" literally and slaughter and barbecue the top 10% income bracket. I could then claim that simply taxing rich people out of their wealth but not eating them is a "moderate left" position, actually.

Pretty much doubt. I mean, I'd probably have to wade through a bunch of garbage to distill out an actual attempted derivation; it's much more likely to be a loose collection of handwavy claims than any sort of serious deductive argument.
It's kind of funny how all sides of the atheist internecine war want to make claims that the core of their morality is game theory. Of course, this game theory is somehow "not objective", meaning that other people can't simply rederive it from the premises... but good luck asking them to explain how that's supposed to work. And more funny is that they all seem to come up with quite different conclusions about what their handwavy game theory premises are supposed to imply (derivation often not shown). I'm pretty confident that the folks here who appeal to it don't think it directly derives traditional Christian morality. ...especially not Jim's version.

Woke was never more widespread than ten or fifteen percent of the population. They just control the federal bureaucracy, academia, the billions of NGOs with their trillions of billionaire bribes and taxpayer cash, the legal profession, the intelligence agencies and through those mechanisms, the tech platforms.
This is always a temporary state, this happened in the Seventies and Nineties too. People don't like being lectured by hectoring feminist church ladies any more than christian ones. Once the backlash built sufficiently, the left exposed their complete intellectual and moral inversions during Covid, and Elon broke their biggest silo, the whole thing started to slide. It wasn't fast, it took five years and still isn't complete.
Furthermore, it hasn't gone away. Just like PC followed Days of Rage, and Woke followed PC, set your watches. The next one is coming in ten or fifteen years. You'll start hearing about it in five to seven years. All those people still hold all those same basic hatreds, they aren't going to be fired in any real numbers, and this whole thing will happen again and again and again. Not even Sulla can stop it. Hatred of the (western) nation and its population is the basic building block of lefty ideology.
Hear me now, believe me later. The next one will be even more stupid, and even more hateful.

I haven't gotten to the ants yet, I am currently trying to beat the big club miniboss, but so far I haven't really been punished by the regular mobs. The firebombing fliers are annoying, but not enough to kill me. Bosses and minibosses dealing two masks per hit are the biggest hurdle, as you die in three hits and recover three masks per spool, so even if you time your heal well, you will die in two hits the next time.
I've never been good at dodging in platformer games and my favorite builds in games that let you tailor your build have always been facetanks, so you can see my frustration. At least in HK I could combine Stalwart Shell, Soul Eater, Quick Focus and not worry too much about missing a hit.

Without that threat, the geographical sortition that has been ongoing for well-over a decade should make it possible to simply allow them to stew in their own shitholes
I would say this is optimistic. The fact remains that the high-paying and high-status jobs are all in Blue areas and are likely to remain so. Your children and their children are likely to have to grapple with some level of Blue domination for as long as this is the case, although having a reliable bolt hole might make this more comfortable.

Yes and I'm not arguing that's not a problem. There's a chance if we don't make our society pronatal we'll devolve back into the mud. However, it's less women not having kids and more women having a few kids.
Also you can insulate yourself from divorce pretty well if you too know what your doing. Marry after 27 and both have a college degree and divorce is somewhere around 15-20% You can insulate yourself from "divorce rape" by marrying a woman who works. It's not half your money if you earn about the same.

I'm pretty sure I brought up that woke was naturally antisemitic before october 7th either here or on the subreddit and was told "nah it'll never happen". The thing is, there have been a lot of firmly antisemtic people on the extreme right for a long time, which made woke people take the opposite side reflexively, that made it seem like the safer bet.

The trans stuff is definitely becoming more visible in Ireland (now that the gay rights stuff has been won, I guess). I'm seeing more articles in mainstream media recently about "coming out as trans", "when you're older and trans", "mother of trans kid" (that last one really literally the 'protect trans kids' meme).
So yeah, keeping my mouth shut in public about any doubts I have about the wonderfulness of total trans transformation.
