The CZ wants a libertine society and the youth are off insisting on traditional values and culture and religion. The youth are so trad at thins point that not only are they religious but in the case of catholic youth, they’re going for Latin Mass and fighting popes and bishops to get it.

True, but we do live in funny times. I'll admit I'm not an expert on the history of such things, but my understanding had been that it was teens who pioneered things like punk, grunge etc that weren't exactly aligned in every way with the Cathedral of their times.

Social media tends to amplify things that are trendy locally. And extremism tends to get trendy because the people who like it watch it, and those who don’t like it tend to hate-watch it. Since it’s getting lots of views it goes to the top. But since what people get excited about varies by community, you can easily find the same SM platform promoting opposing views to different people.

Maybe. its still not a 0, and its still largely men getting this accord, so progressives keep acting to diminish it further or claim women/gays/minorities are the real beneficiaries of a valorized history - all the kvetching about any WW2 show not having enough blacks or how the supercool vikings really were 40% women raiders. I don't see progressives trying to get more women into waste disposal or being day laborers, but I call that a wash since media doesnt give a shit about those guys either.

I'd be interested in his answer too, but the basic case is pretty simple: being a part of that subculture puts you at risk of exclusion from polite society, therefore it's a counterculture. Calling it "the true" counterculture might be going to far, I'm sure there's plenty of other groups that can lay claim to being countercultural, but this one's by far the biggest.

Sun the vast majority of days (if it's going to rain, it should rain all day), high-80s to low-100s year-round, low humidity. Rain (especially that which is more than just drizzle) isn't a problem so long as it's sufficiently warm. Daylight should persist for no less than 10 hours a day in the winter.
I require the sun to be present in the sky to function correctly, and simply don't hold heat very well and need the environment to do it for me.

Frankly I don't blame women for this. Exceedingly few women are out there clamoring for girlbosses on the front lines, with most ads for female military recruitment focusing on (much needed) POG intel or maintenance shit.
No, the ones seething at the lack of female participation are progressive MEN who do not have even the concession of a dennys veterans meal accorded to them. If military valor is not an exclusively male thing, then you are not a failure of a man for not achieving military valor. Not that people actually consider military valor much of a special achievement anymore, but progressives simply need to diminish the achievements of the men they will never be in order to make themselves look less failson.

Nobody says this for anything else. Nobody says "oh cars in the old days were terrible, fuel-inefficient, slow and unreliable plus you were likely to be mangled if you crashed, there was no GPS or aircon and that's why their price has soared enormously relative to household income." Cars got better and cheaper, electronics got better and cheaper, air travel got better and cheaper, textiles got better and cheaper, everything should get better and cheaper simultaneously. Car prices in the US have risen considerably in the last few years because Americans like buying big trucks but that's a national quirk, not a global trend. We see rapidly rising house prices in nearly all developed countries.
Housing is the anomaly and I blame financialization of housing stock, limiting supply to increase prices. Houses shouldn't be appreciating in value, they shouldn't be used as a store of value or an investment. There have been technological advances like prefabrication that brings production prices down. But prices stay high, in part due to regulations that sustain their use as a store-of-value by constricting supply.
The type of money we use doesn't really matter, it is just fake points we use to keep track of and divvy up resources.
That's it in a nutshell. Control the money supply and you control the resources. Print money, pass it on to banks and then to those favoured by banks, bail out banks if things go wrong, tax via inflation and it's all obfuscated through the complexity of the money printing system.

Suppose Europe and Asia are intensively bombed and hundreds of millions are killed tomorrow, would this be good for the US economy? Or Canada and Australia? No! Prosperity is not derived from the destruction of others, there's not much point trading with desperate and impoverished people. US postwar prosperity stemmed from technological advancement, good regulatory conditions and rapidly increasing capital stock, including housing. Britain and France did well postwar. Japan did well postwar too. Germany did well. All but Japan had baby booms.

In all the footage there is probably only one single clip of a Ukrainian woman storming a trench, three if you count the gender ambiguous blobs being shot at in Azovstal. Fair few of women in CASEVAC doing in-vehicle stabilization, and a few women working counterbattery were killed. These roles are still valued, but they aren't sitting in trenches waiting for the assault.
Doesn't change the fact that others raised, which is female soldiers are better used outside of directly employing violence of action. Keep men killing, thats what they do best. Women can get the teamkill assist.

If you get a chance, maybe check out the North American Pacific NW during the "rainy season" (fall through spring): Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver BC all get at least 8 hours of daylight in the winter, so it's not as bad as Scotland for daylight. It's grey and drizzly (parts of it are technically a rainforest!) and in the middle it hangs out in your desired temperature range for months on end, but rarely gets colder, and it's not humid. Or maybe try New Zealand, they've got more normal weather, but their winter is the northern hemisphere summer. ;-)

"Beggars in Spain", the original novella, by Nancy Kress. I have no idea how I went this long without reading it. There's almost nothing I could describe as "filler"; she makes me work as a reader, in a good way. It hints at the inner life of other characters, without ever giving definitive answers. And it's on-topic for this forum, too.

Yeah Drukpa's been posting random overlaid stuff like that on techno club videos for a while. I think the overton window is shifting a little, but Drukpa not a great souce for it.
I think this controversy fully displays to what extend the whole "LGBTQ community" narrative is actually astroturfed. I don't even have to use my arguments, Douglas Murray said it better here. Apparently "homofobic", AfD party is very popular with gays in Germany. I'd dare to guess that gay man are the majority of techno party goers, so it does not surprise me the least that Deutschland für die Deutschen, Ausländer raus! would be popular among them. It is incredible to read through the article and watch cognitive dissonance in real time.
