Re: coca leaves, on a distantly related note I was at some sweat lodge recently and some guy offered people a puff from his home grown tobacco (in his hand carved pipe, of course) and the uptake was like 5 out of 6 people. I'm very certain if he had handed out a pack of Marlboros he would have had 0 takers.

I'd be as shocked if not more so getting the weight of an M240 replacements to less than fifteen pounds.
The M250 is the replacement for the M240, and it does weigh just under 15 pounds, with the suppressor. Which is kind of downright miraculous when you think about it, considering the weight of the companion rifle. That's far lighter than any other MMG system on the market, competitive or beating nearly every LMG (assuming the M250's suppressor is detached), lighter than even the M60E6 is, and is only a couple pounds heavier than the full-size Knights Armament LAMG is.
The M7 makes more sense in a context where it's merely the companion "because we had to" to the M250- and the M7 is so incredibly heavy that there's only a couple of pounds between it and the machine gun. It's the same calculus the Stoner 63 suffered from: if the machine gun and the rifle are basically the same weight, why would you ever take the rifle?
It's also worth noting that there haven't really been any reported issues with the M250, but then again, the M250 also seems to be a clean-sheet design where the M7 is wearing literal pounds of legacy baggage. There's zero reason that gun needs to match an AR-10's footprint outside of "muh training"- it makes it more expensive to manufacture, and it turns it into a worse rifle (the forend on the M7 is absolute garbage) than it should by all rights be.

This makes me mildly curious about the geographic breakdown of this place; although I know we have several desi & European poasters, I assumed like 80% of the people here are American or live in the US.
Are there more east coasters or west coasters, southerners or heartlanders?
That alway remained mysterious to me, although I assumed the west coat was more common due to the ratsphere influence.

I want to call this out to OP. We don't know what happened, we don't know if you did anything wrong - but you report a lot of problems like this and adjacent to this so it is worth being careful, much more careful.
Maybe it's something about the way you look or talk and it's total SJW nonsense. Maybe you use words that should be fine but freaks girls out. Who knows, but you have had a few problems and you'll be much safer if you try and be a bit more careful.

I would expect Imgur is used something like 95% (if not more) as a regular image hosting site and 5% as an actual social media site and thus expect nothing meaningful to happen. How many people even know that it has a social media element to begin with? I doubt there's that many, if they want an image based social media there's already Pinterest and Instagram.

X can have none of the qualities of Y and be Y regardless because X and Y no longer have any qualities that meaningfully separate them. The only thing that's changed is the referent. Some Xs are now called Ys, no other changes required.
Sorting X from Y, whether correctly or incorrectly, requires a coherent method to discern X from Y. That's what imparts meaning to the labels.

They're not. There's an initial charge that kicks the bolt out of the gun, after which the rocket propulsion comes online and brings it up to max speed. Just the initial stage is supposed to have an enormous amount of recoil, if it's an Astartes bolter, it breaks the arm of human Mk. 1s. Fans have been confused by this for a while, as the energies involved don't really warrant this, AFAIK.

My relatives hit the hills and got out ok. They drank pool water; this might shorten their lives a bit, but less so than waterborne illnesses or dehydration(also, Cajuns aren't really longevity maxxing to begin with). They didn't have consistent water or power, but managed to get text messages out that accounted for everyone. None of them had much sympathy for those who stayed in New Orleans. Those were the stupid ones, in their view. They tried to help refugees, but relatives came first, if you weren't related to someone in their town or didn't have someone to vouch for you, back of the line. None of them were preppers, just standard rural/semirural Cajuns. I don't recall reports of people dying from a lack of modern conveniences, despite the town being out of power for a while. Then again, this was the incident which led to the formation of the Cajun navy through spontaneous self organization.
In Texas, there was sympathy for Katrina refugees, but this quickly turned to absolute hatred for the ones that stayed. Louisiana blacks are hated in south-east Texas, Houston very much included- white Cajuns mostly not so much. They're blamed for crime, disorder, bad driving, ruining-it-for-the-rest-of-us rowdiness, uncleanliness, even shitty schools.

Providing a woman’s perspective as I presume most commenters are male. Women know when they’ve met “the one” rather quickly. If this dream woman did not directly and overtly ask the man to move with her, odds are high that he was not her dream man. Now one could argue that over time perhaps the man could have “won her over” and convinced the woman to stay with him; but that would depend heavily on the quality and quantity of male competition vying for said woman.

Now, with American blacks, we don’t have such a starkly-clear control group.
Genetically, the closest analogues of AADOS blacks would be Jamaicans; they're likewise mostly west african with some british isles admixture. Jamaican immigrants do much better than AADOS, but selection effects. Has anyone run a comparison of AADOS middle class vs Jamaican immigrants?

I just think it’s far more efficient to be able to speak of a hypothetical person without needing to assume biographical details at the fundamental level of speech. A gender-neutral pronoun would be highly useful here, and would not need to imply any reification of the idea that any known individual can have a gender which is neither male nor female.
